    I like it. The directionality of her hair makes the photo a bit of depth. I'd have focused a little further toward the middle of her nose to get a bit more of the other eye in focus too (if only to emphasize the red..)

    Cheers :). This was taken in my room with the curtains closed so there wasn't much scope for high DOF. As it stands it's ISO800 at 1/20 with a flash or something like that. I want to get her sleeping outside in the Sun or something so a higher f/stop can be used.

    I'm only just getting used to the ultra-shallow DOF you get at 300mm. It kinda explains why the lens can go up to f/45.

    Edit: Oh, and given the amount this dog moves the focus is a bit hit-and-miss, especially when waiting for both AF and IS :p.
