    Someone here recommended http://www.bonusprint.com/us/
they are cheap but in the US, still might try them as they have very cheap freight $5 to Australia. They are about 50c Aust. for a 5x7 which is the size Im mainly interested in. The local BigW Agfa and Kodak are around $3-4 per 5x7, anyone got any recommendations??

BigW have a cheap (read: 4x6 inch prints 47 cents each) online digital print service. You pick up and pay for your prints at your nearest BigW store.

Wow, thats a big jump in price. I wonder what the reasoning for that is?

Gee I read on their website they only did 4x6's, might have been another supermarket... seems the USA based service might be the best available

I didn't realise such services existed at good prices.

So I can basically get a digital camera and if i won't pics printed i don't have to pay any more than i would have to with a film camera.

I might reconsider getting a digital camera now :)

Just a note to stratos and anyone else tuning in that doesnt realise, the main reason why people use this type of service is because inkjet prints, while they look great, fade quickly, prints from a photo store last centuries... (nearly)

Phwoar this is great news. I already knew you could get digital images processed at photo labs but I had no idea you could yet do it over the net. Been waiting for something like this - great stuff. /me orders 50 pictures :)

Link is incorrect ... should be

    http://www.nationalphotos.com

Their site is a bit vague though as to the cost for indivdual prints from JPG. Stuffed if I can find it.
Do you need to register before you can see those prices ?

I've been told that even the Prints you get from Big W are printed using Inkjet technology and they will also fade over time especially the Red colours.

Can anyone confirm or deny the quality / Life expectancy of prints from these online stores ( In particular BigW )

Teds Photos do 6x4 prints for $0.49, and the quality is just superb. Interestingly they don't seem to do 5x7's.

They're also printing 4x12 Panoramas right now for $5.00... I might just have to find a photo or two to get printed in Panorama, just because I can :D

I've used Teds before, big thumbs up!
