SQ J looks very nice. I flew F in Thai a few weeks back, and it didn't look much better than the SQ J seats. Though service was ice - nothing like champagne and caviar on boarding... Z...
Seems to vary greatly by airline. United, for example, is basically just more legroom, and that's it. In Singapore Air, it's a nicer seat, with leg rest and more space (you have somewhere to put your elbows). SQ premium economy feels like somewhere between economy and business, United feels like economy with a few extra inches. Probably best to try and search for some piccies of the airline you'll be flying with. Z...

Emerites. Second to none entertainment and the recent switch to tiny ipads on international flights by Qantas is extremely annoying. Their European routes are great, Brisbane to Dubai direct then one more flight to basically anywhere in Europe, can't go wrong. The emerites lounges at Dubai are seriously good as well.
