did you grab outrunnners ?
Call - good chance he doesn't know how to send a text without it taking him 30 mins per message
I wish I had the room for something like that!
Yeah you buggers with the luxury of a dedicated games room have it good in that respect. Aside from shed junk/storage, I've only got a 3m x 3m small office type room to house any and all operational machines + related ephemera + workspace. It's doubtful anything bigger than the bartop or the 21" TV will be entering here.
$1 Buy It Now ISA LAN card - pickup only Beecroft NSW.
I was eyeing that, but I'm too lazy to drive to Beecroft. He's got a few other bits like beige 52x CD drive, and some optical & floppy media. So you could probably leave his place with a cheap box of stuff if you needed any of that.
Don't understand why he won't post these items. They are dead simple to pack. Could do with that LAN card and CDROM.
Reboot IT has another 20" 1600x1200 4:3 LCD for $25pp, this time a HP LP2065: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/124240030172
This guy based in Latvia has some well priced components, including a reasonable selection of sound cards..
All prices are US dollars of course, so the deals are not quite as juicy as they could be. The postage seems very reasonable in most cases however.
A broken NEC APC-III has appeared on ebay in VIC.
Might have a similar PSU issue to what mine had? Was fixed after replacing capacitors.
Comes with the MS-DOS users guide:
Opti based ISA sound card with genuine OPL and AdMOS QS700 wavetable (1MB ROM, 32 voices) - approx AUD$65 delivered.
Some samples of the wavetable music (courtesy of Vogons)

Should be a very versatile card.
Wouldn't call it a bargain but if you don't want to get involved in a bidding war a "fair price"......
EDIT: INCORRECTLY STATED AS FX60 seller corrected to whatever, Beware!
Yeah, I ordered one of those a few weeks back ... not the cheapest postage, but at least ebay global postage is somewhat functional. Unlike some of the other things I've ordered from overseas :-(
Would be great to hear your first impressions when the card arrives.
Looks like the seller has quite a few more in stock so there might be an opportunity to combine postage if there more people interested in this.
The sound card just arrived today! Along with an ISA S3 801 card I definitely spent too much money on!
Have a decent hand built headphone amplifier I can use to really get a good feel for it's output quality. (it is good enough that it shows up cards like the SB Live and AWE64, which normally sound fairly respectable on normal desktop speakers)
So I'll get a good feel for it's audio performance.
bottle head on crack ?
No, nothing like that.
Just a decent op-amp based amplifer.
Running off a linear 15V/-15V PSU.
It is more then enough to bring line output to decent headphone output and drive a wedge between the sound cards that have excellent/good/fair/poor output quality.
haha, definitely NOT a bargain at that price (you normally get a 3200 or 3000, at least, on any 939 or 754 socket board you buy)
Another listing that may interest the sound card collectors out there, Ensoniq Soundscape VIVO for $55AUD delivered.
Sounds great in Doom - https://soundcloud.com/user-306991531/vivo-doom
Pity the postage is so steep otherwise this would be an even better deal.
Panasonic 4:3 TV in Perth - from memory, the picture quality on these were pretty damn good.
