Had a little play around with it during my lunch break and couldn't find any character corruption like on the sellers photo so not exactly sure what that is about. But it definately has some issues as occassionally it wouldn't post and would beep it's head off. Also saw some weirdness in the BIOS in that the clock was running fast and counts 1 minute in about 10 seconds. Never seen anything like it before it's almost like it's possessed lol.

If I find time this weekend I'll strip it completely down and give it a good clean and go over to see if I can nut the problem out. It has a K6-2 400 btw so it doesn't appear to be overclocked but it's one of many things I will check. At the end of the day if it's just good for parts I'm ok with that as the main thing I wanted out of it was the SB Pro 2.

Also found a burnt CD in the CD-ROM with some exam files from 2007 so it appears this PC lasted a long time before finally being dumped.

Nice, I've got a few of those puppies, (the 6200) but they are all Mac Pro versions from ...other ... Mac pros I've updated over time.

I also obtained one of the fx5500 OCed versions from BFG, but it's still in its box with it's super ugly cooler. (Have ordered a replacement cooler from Salman)

Check out the super fugly cooler on that !!
(Picture isn't mine, but my box is identical aside from being PCI)

On the lookout for a 5900 ultra..

I had no idea such boards existed. I didn't think the Pentium could even do SMP. I managed to convince myself it'd be a pain in the arse.

Looking at what I've spent on Retro gear of late, I am like "nah better not"

Then I got an email from NRMA today, letting me know they owe me a few retro machines worth of dollarydoos. It's a sign. Mind changed

So anyway, message sent. Let's see if it's moved or not
