That'll accept any 486(If you can find the settings)....
I can only see 22 jumpers, should be straightforward...
A couple of cheapish computers with CRTs for anyone interested in Perth:
Pentium 166 -> probably s3 Video -> Early Sound blaster 16 -> early DVD drive ... all in what looks to be an old XT or 286 style case. With CRT and speakers
Pentium 3 800 -> HP vectra with onboard video, but AGP port too -> onboard sound ... with CRT that contains speakers it looks like.
Both will need lots of cleanup, but make good bases for a great retro system.
damn, absolute bargains with the monitor included. I love the second one with the speakers in the monitor stand - so cool.
haha, omg system one has a bigfoot.
Have made an offer on this one, mainly just want the CRT, might re-sell the PC/etc later.
the monitor stand is super cool. haha
Yeah, I was considering it just because of the philips monitor stand. I'm a sucker for unusual speaker systems.
I really need to unsub from this thread
I had a Philips 107E without the speakers in around 2001-2002 I think it was. Will be nice to have that attached to the retro setup. Might clean up the rest of the machine and resell it, might keep it as a "spare" (already have far too many spares), I'm not sure yet - counting my chickens before they hatch, given my offer hasn't been accepted yet!
I considered asking about the speakers on the other system, as I also had a set of these JUSTer speakers back in the day - for what they were, they sounded great.
Just got a notification - offer accepted, arranging pickup with the seller now Happy days. Will bang up some more pics/info into the retro activity thread when I have it all in my hot little hands.
want a tiny CRT? Shame they are only B&W
Opinions on this Socket 7 motherboard with Cyrix 300Mhz CPU and RAM for ~$66 posted?
Please hurry up and buy it before I do...
There's 211 pieces available, so if we don't go spreading the word too much I think we should covered on this forum.
If more than one person in Perth is interested perhaps we could try a bulk buy and reduce the postage?
Wouldn't that be a fun exercise. A bunch of us buy them and have a build-off.
Bummer, looks like the postage cost increases linearly with the number of items purchased.
Bugger - would have happily split postage 50/50 if you bought a pair. I *really* don't need another Socket 7 machine; I don't even have anything to put it into.
Is there anyone in Brisbane that would like: dual xeon x5650s, mother board, dell case, and dell psu. I dont know for certain but it think it works. No ram in it to check.
Probably best placing this in the retro for sale forum.
I'm sure this won't remain a bargain. But what a beauty. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/386-AT-Computer-Tower-Vintage-16MHz/254867453955
Seems to have some kind of pro/broadcast sound card in it.
