It went to a prolific collector on the AU pc big box games facebook group. I suspect they will probably be used as trade bait for higher end games.

Yeah, that is pretty yuck, but I'd still go for it if the card was in working condition.

Definitely a lot of cleaning work, but the alternative is usually places like ebay.

For $10 I can easily do a isopropyl and toothbrush scrub.

I think I've committed to buy the 9800XT and an X800XT Platinum he also has listed. Not ideal that they come with a side of cancer but at that price I can't complain too much.

Depends where you are. When I lived in the north I was showering in cheap/free hardware. Moved down south and haven’t seen a decent piece of hardware for years. Not even a CRT TV for a sane price.

Huntkey, it triggered a memory of my highschool mate saying they're decent.
I bought it while I was there grabbing an old GPU and did the research later... At least it's shiny.
Tested it, it works, cleaned the tar dust out, aired it out for days, I only use it for testing things.

    Thanks for that!

I remember the old days .... trying to find a good generic branded PSU amongst a sea of trashy PSUs, all the while not really realizing that whatever we thought of as a good generic brand ... was also unmitigated crap too!

And then Antec came along and added cherry to the crap cake.
