I've got an 8RDA+ here (my original one from back then) but it's forever on the To Re-cap list. Doesn't currently work.

I had an epox board for my Socket A Athlon back in the day. Had a cap go and it was like a flash through the room. Thought it was a great board but didn't have the knowledge in the early 2000's on how to recap.

Looks like they've put an LGA1200 cooler on it. Someone got a nice upgrade.

Woodgrain would have been awesome, you could always mod it ;)

(blasphemy alert!) I do not share (e.g. LGR)'s woodgrain love. It seems like it's only stylistically period-correct for things prior to about ?1987?. So I always felt a bit weird about the whole mixing of eras that seems to be occurring when people use it in conjunction with 1990's-or-later equipment.

This popped up on eBay, a 386/486 EISA motherboard for $35: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/225027155803

Rarely see EISA boards, so piqued my interest despite being listed as faulty. Noticed the BIOS EPROM is missing - not ideal but easily fixed (the BIOS is available online). Then I realised someone has removed all the socketed ICs, including two PALs. :upset:

Anyway, cool to see an EISA board listed, even if it is relegated to scrap only.

i remember these, complete garbage - but did look cool i guess. MSI was a poor mans Shuttle. The boards were definitely flakier and that's saying something.

I've got a slightly later model of one of these (red/black casing), it's working and I love it but I'm waiting for the day it self combusts, either from motherboard or PSU failure.

If someone on here gets it, I'd love an image of the MSI FM radio/Windows software - it's unobtanium as it needs a serial number I don't have.

    These were the best boards.

12 hard drives on a single board.

actual room to pit in expansion cards where the gpu HSF doesn't cover everything

If that lanparty was in good condition and complete it might not be a bad deal. But missing the I/O shield and "Sadly its very temperamental and can somethings go through a string of BSODs with unknown causes." - probably not worth the buy.
