Yeah the final price is insane but I can see where the value is in this one. The card itself is incredibly hard to find on it's own but this looks to be complete in box right down to it still having the tshirt which as a bonus appears to be unworn and still sealed up. From a collector's stand point that is as rare as Unicorn poo which has been stepped on by a Yeti. You just don't know when another like this will come around if at all.

Would never pay that though...........unless I won the lottery. :D

    Basically one game then. :)

I jumped into quake with the voodoo. :) I'm sure like many others here, I was the "first in the group" to have one.

Not a bargain (need to change the title of the thread at this point...) but a decent Socket 7 system for $149.95pp: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/283641752450

A quintessential late 90s beige box, but the tidy case and Shuttle HOT-569 motherboard make it interesting.

Got that fella on my watchlist. It's not exactly what I'm after, but there's not exactly a lot on ebay to watch.

Just looking at eBay and weeping when I think about the amount of those things I've seen go to the bin

There's a big auction of old computer hardware and games at Yarra Valley this weekend.

    https://www.yarravalleyauctions.com.au/

You can bid online and arrange shipping.

There's some Commodores and Amigas in the 'Keyboards and Mice' category.

Wow comes with free internet too..

Microsoft Fury, Microsoft mouse, multiple big boxes.
I really like the boxes for productivity and OS stuff. Because in real life, those were the ones I used to keep. Things like a MS DOS manual or a Windows Manual would sometime be handy.
Would be ideal for 386/486/Pentium era collectors going for a theme.

Try not to recoil at the grottiness of these! 2x Apple Extended Keyboard II for $20ea. These pack ALPS switches, and clean examples are now fetching Model M prices. ADB-USB adapters are out there. If I was in his hood I'd be on the way over there instead of posting about it! (In fact I would spend a good day at his junkyard).

Wow. That is way out of line with what the other lots of PC games went for. This is the lot in question. Can anyone spot what's special in this box?

Apparently there were a couple of Wolfenstein 3d boxes, and some other Apogee/Manaccom boxes which are apparently sought after in some circles.
