The japanese are great at adopting from other cultures. I had some pretty great pizza at a japanese/italian place in Tokyo. Tempura is adopted from the dutch isn't it? Same as the batter, pan and technique for Takoyaki balls.

I've had a tandoori pizza. It was great.
I've had vindaloo nachos and a butter chicken burrito. Both great. I'd love to try a phoritto. There's a place near my house that does sushi burritos (pretty much just giant sushi rolls).
Potato pizzas are great, I've had a few combinations.
There's a dumpling place in sydney that does all sorts like chicken and corn soup, or bolognese dumplings.

Who cares about tradition. If it's delicious its delicious.

Yeah, I don't think it's so much an argument about fusion being the issue. I just think it's more that bad food is bad.

Japanese food has had Western Influences (for example) for a very very long time. Eg: Yōshoku

When a restaurant can't cook any cuisine 'well' they add fusion to their name........we have learnt if they have Fusion in their name they are doing all of the cuisines poorly.

Ahh, thats a really poor generalisation. There are plenty of great fusion cuisines, look at some of the most exciting resturants in the world right now...

I think summarises my stance on pineapple on pizza, perfectly.

Hahaha that's great, but I must say I'm a fan of pineapple on pizza, give me beers and a Hawaiian pizza and I'm set!

Really? I don't think so... try and argue with me that a cheese burger sushi is an acceptable combination/ fusion

They're sold as "Bega cheese-like product" in Malaysia now aren't they? Or was that from a while ago?

Thank you for admitting to it, I too like pineapple on pizza but have never had the balls to admit it before reading your brave words.
