Hardware Unboxed does a review of the LG 32gk650f
man 16:9 looks as ancient and square as 16:10/5:4/4:3 now
True! Completely forgot, I'll do one up now
wow - so I go to pull the trigger on the LG 32gk650f and it has shot up by $100 bucks at Scorptec. This reduces it's charm as a budget screen somewhat.
It's still good value but was a steal at $479. I've been really happy with it. It's a great monitor, awesome colour consistency and great in games..
$565 at Scorptec for OCAU Members....
Just bought one of those LG 32GK650F-B from our benevolent sponsor. I was initially set on a 27" / 1440p so I've got my fingers crossed the pixel density won't be too low. Reviews are glowing which helped decide on this monitor, plus the UI looks nice. It'll be my first freesync or >60hz display so am looking forward to seeing how that looks. Only have a 1060 driving it which steered me away from anything 4K.
Yep, awesome monitor. Can't sit as close as I do with a 24" so it's probably good for my eyes...
The unique flat panel LG 32GK650F-B - back on special at our sponsor Scorptec for $489. until June 30 or while stock lasts
SCORPTEC - LG 32GK650F-B
damn it, right after I bought it. typical
It's now $499 and while stocks last (not June 30) so anyone holding off for end of month may want to jump on it
arrived Tuesday Morning which is the fastest anything has arrived from melbourne in quite a while (ty to the guys at Scorptec for rapid service) - tweaked settings a bit and settling in. Its a lovely panel - tho coming from the IPS is weird on the eyes.
As mentioned in the Hardware Unboxed vid, the custom Gamer 1 setting (the only one with full settings control) - arrives with quite a cold blue tint - i adjusted to his specs also: Red 50 / Green 43 / Blue 34 /Brightness 61 - for a quick and dirty more even result. I dropped the brightness even further to 35 - as this seemed kinder to my eyes for prolonged evening use.
did anyone get the AOC CQ32G1? I am leaning toward this,
i want that 144hz 21:9 3k msi but the price is too much might wait till they drop in $
I bought this monitor earlier in this thread and passed the trusty Qnix 27 on to one of my sons, while I like the size of the 32 I cant help feeling that the old cheapie Qnix still "looks better". Im starting to think it is related to pixel density or it might be ips vs VA so where to next from here? 4k?
5k+ especailly as screens get larger with the average screen being 30"+ now
I reached the same opinion as you... ended up trading out the LG for a ROG 34 ultrawide. The low pixel density made the LG a bit blurry
nice does it oc well ?
PG348Q so not the latest gen of 34" ultrawide. It has a base refresh rate of 60hz and OCs to 100hz. I've only got a 1060 pushing it, so it's plenty fast enough
