    currently have a i7 8700k skt 1151 on a MSI z390 gaming edge ac

I'm looking to upgrade to an 8 layer pcb motherboard that supports both 8th and 9th gen intel cpu and I need some assistance :)

anyone know how many pcb layers the MSI MEG z390 Ace motherboard has ?

also can anyone recommend a z390 motherboard with 8 layer pcb ?

I have tried google, but my google god is not helping me atm.

    TIA

Z390 Ace only has 6 layers , If you want 8 layer PCB board then get a highend ITX board (E.g Z390I Strix, Aorus Z390I, Z390I Gaming Edge AC and Z390 Phantom gaming ITX/AC) or the flagship model of Asus, Gigabyte and MSI (Aorus Xtreme and Godlike).

Memory OC wise, if you are after the raw memory clock MSI z390i, Asus Z390I, M11G or M11A will do a good job but it is hard to find at a reasonable price.

not sure, I'm under the impression that higher pcb layer count aids in overclocking the cpu and memory

If you want good VRMs, all of the Gigabyte ones are good.

Asrock Taichi Z390 has really good VRM's and features without being over the top.

You want any of these but gl finding one. I have all 3 of them and they pretty much the same as one another. Far better results than any other board in the Field.

    Asus maximus X Apex

    Asus maximus XI Apex

    Evga z390 Dark

    The end.
