I like a bit more simple artwork on my CPO as the buttons wipe most of it out.
I found a higher res which gives some wiggle room but without cutting off a significant amount of the character, the joystick will still obstruct scorpion somewhat, that doesnt bother me too much as long as its obviously still that character.
with number 9, if i chose that one Id want the marquee to have the same sort of light rays effect in the background.
yeah they sure do. I could go the plain pressed metal route, but the whole unit would look plain without side artwork. I dont really want to put any side art on tho.
You need to find somebody artistic to do you a custom graphic....
Scorpian, Ryu, Wolverine. In that order.
The idea of this thread was to help me decide which one to choose, but with no overall liked one, i might have to just go with the one i personally like most.
which is 5 or 10, or 4,6 and 7 >_< ack I like too many
Fixed........we have a winner no7
That's because you haven't got anything yucky in your selection. Any of them would look nice.
Do this: Go through them all and print them out and put them over where they'll go. Stand back and judge the effect of the general colour and design. Exclude any that don't impress, or that will have too much "wrecked" by buttons.
For what's left, put their numbers on a piece of paper and do a draw. If you feel disappointed when you pick the "wrong" one, you'll know which one you really like best. Otherwise, just pick one at random.
(There's probably a reason the original is just a general design rather than a graphic, it's hard to get the effect of a design if it's chopped out by buttons and obscured by sticks)
Yeah those are very good points
The vinyl prints arent cheap and i dont know if i can get 40x60cm paper prints anywhere cheap enough to try them all out first
Office works shouldn't cost much
Haven't had the time to work on this for a good while until today.
This is the CPO I've decided to go ahead with in the end.
I've kept the bg art fairly muted so the CPO's line features stay prominent.
I'll probably do an economy grayscale print of the actual size on paper to make sure it all lines up before placing the order for the laminated adhesive vinyl
Yes, that works well. The characters aren't obliterated by the knobs and what's his face in the middle looks good.
Thanks for the feeedback.will update this once ive done a full scale test and order the vinyl
got prints done at officeworks, the marquee turned out a bit skewed, i'll probably get a reprint, it's only 11 bucks to get printed onto cloth which is awesome.
the cpo template turned out amazing imo, the P2 buttons are a bit off, thank goodness i'm doing the test prints before comitting to expensive laminate vinyl.
should only take a reprint of both to get them perfect enough to order
oh yeah, pics:
Looks good Querty. What game/s is it going to run?
it has a few thousand games, its one of them multi cabs
The marquee skew is an easy fix, already done it:
Should i reedit the source and remove chunli's hand though? hmmm
As for fixing the P2 buttons, I can do it but its going to take a little more time, i've just come off a long work shift so I wont rush into the cpo adjustments just yet
You're image is much larger, like 4cm each dimension yeah to make it easier to place yeah?
actually i haven't done any bleed or guidelines, just 1:1 cm to pixels.
I could ad reflective bleed of 1cm to each edge and scale up the real print, should i do that, i think i can get away without bleed (hopefully lol)
I always add a couple of cm and has saved a lot of heartache
I like it. I especially like the way Mario is looking at you as you approach....
