speakers are a lot like women. what one person loves, others will hate with a passion (e.g. blond v brunette v red head)

same can be said for speakers (e.g. Klipsch)

moral - go listen to both of them, and see which one YOU like better :)

which is not always possible. :) unless you are suggesting that he limit his choices on speakers available locally and setup already in the shop :)

where would be a good place to buy speakers in sydney? I know about a shop called Store DJ. They sell a wide range of speakers. They have the Samsons in stock but they have to order the M-Audio's... I might go down and have a listen to them. Any recommendations by you guys for powered speakers around $150-$350? Thanks guys.

would you marry a woman you've never met before?

i personally wouldn't buy speakers without auditioning them first.

sorry mate, haven't really had a lot to do with monitors. do you need monitors?

be good if you can get Store DJ to order in the M-A's so you can have a listen

Ok, I've just heard the KRK Rokit 8's and they sound amazing. haha! but they're wayyyy out of my budget. But the Rokit 5's are above my budger, but if they do sound just as good. i don't mind paying $300 more for them. =)
