Agreed. Recently load times have been extremely lengthy so it's has been annoying me no end. Perhaps related to the AV software debarcle? Although I thought that was sortof all sorted now.

I think maybe it was because whirlpool got 'slashdotted'....produced a heap of traffic and caused problems. (Just my guess).

'Just down for me' site wouldnt have worked in this case, as the server was producing pages, just not the correct one. AFAIK if the testing site gets some form of response from the server via http on port 80 it considers it 'up'

the fact that a mere 400 people can bring it down shows just how sad the site is. its been terribly slow for quite a while now. its damn annoying, but the site hasn't been useful for a long time now. I should know my member number is in the low 4000's.

As usual it's the owner being tight about upgrading.

You see he wants his cake and he wants to eat it too..

Shame as its interface is quite clean. Too bad owner is dogmatic about upgrading/hosting...

Actually it's been up and down over the last few days, mainly because of the Conroy is a berk thing with his trying to shut up any criticism of his filter system.
