Hiya ocow. I have to get to Newcastle NSW tomorrow, as early as possible, and I live in Radelaide. No luggage. Theres a 6am flight from Adelaide that gets to Sydney at 8:25 (Virgin I think) Then there is a 8:40 flight from Sydney to Newcastle (Rex, I'm pretty sure) Two separate tickets I assume. Will it work? or do I need to be at the second flight (rex ) an hour or so before boarding time ? or, as a long shot are there any OCAU'ers going from the Sydney airport area to the Newcastle area tomorrow morning
As stated in the Rex conditions of carriage, all counters will stop accepting customers for check-in 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time at Adelaide, Melbourne & Sydney airports
no idea. I'll just catch the train up. Its not that much longer, and gets me closer to where I need to be... and $150 cheaper! Thanks for the thread move... Didn't realise there was a holidays/travel forum!
Why not just hire a car? Trains are a nightmare on the weekends... Track work and what-not... By the time you factor in the exorbitant charges for shitty-rail access to the airport stations, it's probably not much more expensive, and certainly cheaper than a plane!
http://www.rex.com.au/FlightInfo/check_in.aspx just grabbed it from there, might be some other stuff on there worth a read too. ah, just noticed you would have made the trip already. How'd you end up doing it?
Try checking into both flights from your original port - even then you would in all likeliness not make it.
