Will you buy an ipad. Is there something you found that's better?
I'd like to give society the benefit of the doubt that they will shop intelligently, but the lure of "cool" seems to be too much of a carrot for some people.
Yep I'll grab the biggest and highest specced one provided it's not too expensive and I can work with documents easy enough..
I think people will shop intelligently. They'll buy the device with the intuitive UI that does what they need it to do with ease - the iPad
I'll buy one - perfect for videos/ebooks/casual internetting while travelling when I don't want to carry a laptop.
I have developed this really bizarre habit of bumming around on the web on the iphone while watching the tv.. ipad would be great for this..
And if logitech touch mouse works i'll be even happier!
Will be buying on release for eBooks (Text books primarily)
Don't think I would go this one, probably the next. I really need to wait to see it when its released and when OS 4 is out.
Like I said, I am buying one for me, one for my girl, and one for my mum.
The ipad is similar to one of my dream devices that I have wanted for years. However it doesn't measure up to my dream, and I think it will take several years before any company makes something that does.
So I'm glad the ipad came around, it's the necessary baby steps towards me eventually being able to buy a product that I have long wanted.
After watching the presentation, I think it'll be a fairly successful device for Apple.
The average person on the street would love it because they would actually use it as it's designed to be used.
I'm probably not their market target, so I wouldn't buy it. If it was a lot cheaper I might pick one up to play with. It just doesn't do enough for me to justify spending that much.
I said no, but next generation, primarily because I'd like to have one, but I do not have the finances to support one for a while. That said it would be primarily be used as a live instrument for music.
Nah I will skip over it. Too big to carry it around unlike an iPhone and basically does the same thing. I would rather buy the new version of iPhone that is supposed to come out in the middle of this year or so I have heard.
I won't. I already have what some might consider an iPad nano. It's very similar to the iPad in terms of design but it has some really cool extra features which the new iPad is missing, for example it can make phone calls.
It fits in my pocket as well.
I think some people call it an iPhone...
i already have a great 10" netbook - this device is nowhere near as good.
I'd buy one.
I'll probably wait to version two or three come out though.
I'm waiting to see what they come out with next generation. No one wants to get stuck with another iphone 2.5G.
I won't say never, but the way it is now (wtf no multitasking), and Apple's history of letting you do whatever you want as long as it's what they want too, restriction of trade (picking and choosing what apps they allow) - it's not going to happen any time soon.
I really don't like how restricted the Ipad is. I am waiting to get this when it comes out as it seems to do a lot more.
I'll be picking one up, probably 32 or 64 gig with 3g.
Pretty excited about the opportunities to use it for work (iWork), photography (with the dongle) and net browsing on the couch.
If all that fails, it'll do as a ebook reader. I hate crappy e-ink.
I think people will look stupid walking around with this giant iphone, much like people who are on their 3rd or 4th pair of white earphones because how else will everyone know how cool they are
