Still can't update my HTPC (HP, third gen i5) machine to 1903 - says it's not supported and to check again in future - I guess they've still got some teething issues on the back-end..

I had a machine do that when I ran 1903 from installation media but the update assistant got the job done.

Same happened to me. There was no solution I could find so I just waited a week, came back and it was fine, went straight through.

    It's a well documented issue.

Updated to 1903 tonight, to prepare for the Xbox game pass for PC (beta).
The only "issue" I've come across so far is my Downloads folder decided to have "Group By" enabled... no other folder affected as far as I can tell. I don't use the feature, so I don't know why it changed. Ironically it screws around with my ability to navigate in folders.

Arrgh, why in hell does Win10 refuse to follow settings. I have Automatically download updates turned off, and yet last night it decided to update the machine anyway over a metered connection. :wired::upset:

Can’t trust their shit, which is why I check privacy and update settings every time it’s updated.

Just checked it now, Automatically download updates is still set to Off, and Configure Automatic Updates in Group Policy is also disabled..... still auto updates.

1903 does something weird to a random 10/100 onboard nic on an MSI board we have in a couple of machines, as in it doesn't detect in 4/5 boots on these machines.

i just dropped another nic in, fucking muppets.

Probably one of those hardware configs that gets flagged when Windows Update tries to install it. Which chip maker?

realtek from memory, has worked fine under all other versions of 10 so fucked if i know what changed.

i did notice wireless on my home laptops starts much more reliably now - which has been a real pita since updating to 10, shit guys how is this that hard - all this stuff worked perfectly under 7.
