Speaking of Cortana, I feel Microsoft have wasted a big opportunity here. Having killed off the virtual assistant, then to replace it with this AI thing... they could've just rewritten Cortana for the same purpose.
I'll perhaps wait for a Cortana mod.

Maybe many users similar to myself have simply turned Cortana off at any given chance, that they deemed it impossible to revamp? That said, perhaps I might have turned it back on were I to be impressed by an AI update. Similarly, I have disabled Siri at any given opportunity on my iPhone, but were Apple to give it some AI love, perhaps I'd take a look at it again... maybe.

Microsoft are good at killing off things that have huge potential.

That's exactly why I'm wondering Microsoft didn't just brand the AI as Cortana.
If I'm going to call it Cortana, it better function that way.

Easter weekend is upon us and it's time to finally ditch Insiders. Was interesting for what it was, but I need stability in my life.

I don't think too many people outside of gamers actually care enough about Halo to know what cortana referenced.
I've been playing with Gemini, Copilot and ChatGPT, I haven't been this excited about technology since 3D graphics. In my experience Copilot is the worst of the LLMs which is odd since it's I read it's the same engine as the free ChatGPT. Articles also claimed that it's trained to assist in software development which would explain why it lacks in general use cases compared to the others. If true it's very strange that they focused on this niche application without training one for general use then rolled it out and are pushing its use to hundreds of millions of regular customers.

NGL when I first saw the Microsoft Copilot thing start popping up I got a tad confused. Being a software developer I had first heard of copilot as this: https://github.com/features/copilot
Assisted in software development, reasonable at spitting out boilerplate code, comments etc... Then all of a sudden Microsoft were throwing it about. I realise Microsoft owns Github but given the other AI tools already out there it was a surprising choice to utilize one previously aimed as a software dev companion for other things.

Well I had finally upgrade to win 11 on my main rig due to Vanguard anti cheat (League of Legends) completely destroying my win 10 build (deleted adaptors, exes everywhere...made win unusable). Anyway...win 11, win 10 still not of good as win 7 or Vista (vista was the best) for killing programs. Program locks up, whatever and you have to basically restart machine where those older OSes, open task manager, kill program and you continue your day. I miss that :(

meh..same as win 10 atm. Only had it for on my main machine for about a week. Just wish these new OS would kill programs easier like the old days.
