You are lucky it didn't update itself and go into a reboot loop, killing your PSU.

How good are the reboot loops! How useless is Windows recovery!

Never seen a reboot loop take out a PSU though...

Maybe your set-up of Windows is lacking........turn off sleep and other rubbish settings. You can always go OSx.............ohhh the horror.

If its 2019 and your optical media burning software (wat?) can't do what we were doing almost 2 decades ago (which is have the burning software tell the OS not to sleep), then its your poor choice of software or configuration - not windows to blame.

Some software made for XP doesn't have the necessary access to tell Win7/10 not to sleep. Mydefrag is an example.

    thanks for hints.
had to vent. i hate windows so much lol.
yea, its really old version of Nero, had it for years, i think it's version 8 or 9, but nero vision in that version does great DVDs. can cram lots on a disk. the new version is not as good at this task.

in mac os programs send assertions to keep mac awake.

my windows is not lacking, why turn off sleep? it's just a rubbish operating system, made by idiots with no logic to it whatsover.
yea. to fix windows turn everything off. great solution buddy.

how to fix windows? turn computer off. ha ha

normally it wont sleep because some bullshit srvnet 'received a recent request' or some other fkn rubbish. two computers here with windows 10 doing that same rubbish. gave up trying to have windows sleeping when not in use.

but for a laugh, what app that comes with windows is useful? zilch, nada, none.
and i recommend Directory Opus to replace retarded explorer - couldnt live without it
if only mac had directX we could be truly done with that shitty OS.

While this post obviously speaks for itself, if that last bit happened, (because why wouldn't Microsoft just give away one of their last actual leverage points in consumer-land), Linux would step in, because most people want value for money, not ego-boosting desk art.

it's not as simple as burning a dvd.
nero vision re-encodes to VOB format.
haven't found an application that does a better job, you can cram two or more movies onto a disk and it doesnt look bad at all

If only Windows came with something useful that heroic Mac's don't. Oh, wait...

How many versions of 'I hate Windows' threads do we actually need? Don't like Windows, don't use Windows.

it pretty much sums up the situation.

it's the dumbest operating system in existence, has to be said.
like, you cant install 2 copies of windows 10 on separate hard disks, why? because we are retarded, thats why.
and when you try, it says: failed Error 43290870231472314
    fkn idiots made that

How many copies of OSX can you install on separate hard disks?

You CAN install 2 copies of Windows 10 on separate hard disks, you just have to go about it properly. Just like most technology things I guess.
    Not seeing the problem here.

Sounds like User Error to me.
