Same. Makes perfect sense and keeps it out of the way.

do you worry that the mount might fall off and the phone fall out an open window?

my (many years old) GPS suction mount has a nasty habit of falling off :thumbdn:

Nah. The Logitech mount has a really aggressive suction cup, it's not going anywhere.

I got something similar from Amazon although mine just clamps, no screw.

Good enough to hold an iPad mini.

I need a mount where the suction cup doesn't die after a couple of months.

i bought the Logitech +drive system, and as long as you start with a clean surface (i cleaned mine with an alcohol swab), i don't think the suction cup is going anywhere anytime soon

It's mainly the heat which buckles and distorts the cup. So maybe they might have a better design.

so i ended up with 2 Logitech Drive+ and after a couple of years, they both now fall off the windscreen, no matter what i try

anyone have any suggestions as to how to get them to attach better?

i do like the magnetic style

otherwise might try the CD loader holder, or the iottie gear

is there anything out there better right now?

    cheers

    EDIT - anyone tried these - https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/3sixt-neo-mount-black-cn3s0242 ?

i see officeworks still sell the Logitech Drive, i'd avoid :(

You guys seen any good qi wireless charging mounts? Does my head in plugging the cables in. I've had two different air docks but the both broke in different ways. And we're damn expensive.

What sort of thing are you looking for? There's a few ways to do it.

Just something to hold a phone. Suction or vent. And have inbuilt qi for charging. So I don't have to constantly plug the cable into the phone.

A bit late, but I've bought a Baseus vent mount from Aliexpress, cost about $12 or so shipped, and has been better than the logitech version (which costs about double). Also looks nicer.

Having said that, my suction cups still work after all htese years.

I've had the cd player slot mount for 3 years now I think? I really like it a lot better than any suction mount as it's always there, no need to fiddle and get fingerprints on everything etc. It's also less distracting and easier to reach IMO. Also fits a small tablet if need be.

Only downside is I think I will possibly break a finger trying to pull the lever to get it out, it's really secure at least.
