Workaround? I don't have a gaming headset?

    I'd love to do some co-op gaming but generally a headset is required to communicate with your co-op partner.

    The game I am specifically thinking of, in case it matters, is Sniper Elite 5.

    As I don't have such a headset, is it possible to bodge it using earbuds/cheap headphones for the audio and webcam for the mic?

    totally. Whatever you can plug in to your PC inputs and outputs that work with audio will be fine.
