vgf > build log itself :p

what WERE you doing with the original design

but the current one looks good :) well done i'd say

just a question with the tubing, why don't you use the pump inlet facing outside? why are you using the one in the middle? it'd be a cleaner rout

I can't see how that first design would work,
but this new one looks good, hopefully pump vibrations will not be an issue.
clear acrylic isn't looking too bad tho, plus its not visible from the side panel window, but regardless that final design, looks great either way.
    VGF!

    This is a good point.
A sheet of silicone rubber or similar between pump stand/chassis might be an idea.

    Looking ever more impressive Saate.
I don't think I'd be alone in suggesting that this will be one of the best looking and most detailed builds to come out of the OCAU community in quite a while.

Keep it up mate! Can't wait to see her filled and lit up.
VGF is ace, but don't let the next installment distract from the work at hand... :p

    Thanks mate :)

Thanks inVaRed :) and you'll actually be pleased to hear that's exactly what I've done in the revised compression fitting loop for the pump. The inlet is on the side and the outlet is underneath :)

Thanks mate, and yeah I've got a piece of material between the pump and the case but from tests so far the vibration isnt a problem.

    Thanks Blue :)

    Thanks mate!

Just a small update this afternoon - finally got around to doing a leak test!

Was very relieved that none of the copper pipe links leaked! After a little while I noticed one of the fittings into the pump had a steady leak, though, and after draining it and taking it apart discovered that fitting still had a full two turns to go - doh! my bad :p

Will be playing with some SSD covers this weekend and have been experimenting with engraving recently so will see how that goes. I'll also be filling it back up for a second leak test then we're off!

Thanks mate :) I'm having a few mates around this Saturday - if you're keen to check it out and have a beer you're welcome!

Thanks mate - and the 'ole pump orientation has been thrashed out a fair bit in this thread, I spoke to Koolance tech guys as well as Laing Thermotech in germany who make the pump and got some responses early on. The gist is that I can do it as long as I'm careful about initially priming the pump, it took me ages to dig them up but here are the relevant posts:

Im so looking forward to your next update. Just read your review on the Plextor, love the included comic. May get one of those drives to attach to my 2tb hdd for a hybrid setup to get my steam games nice and fast.

(BTW Saate, i made some updates to my mod log since you bothered me about it :p:D)

You could, of course, build your own never ending build with comic and I'm sure we would all come... ;)

Coloured PVC tube, or clear PVC with lolly coloured water inside it.
