If Classic launch and reception is successful, the scope may extend to Burning Crusade and WLK.

I'd certainly like to see this happen. Although I was not happy with removal of Honour ranks when Burning Crusade came out, I was basically pissed off when Cataclysm removed major epic quest lines. I understood why it had to be done, but was still not happy about it.

Yeah It would be amazing. I hope they do change a few things in TBC and Wotlk though.

WoW is back to the #1 spot on Twitch viewership right now, thanks for a few big streamers in the WoW Classic Closed Beta...

Not sure how long the nostalgia will last though...

    Couple of weeks.

People will realise it takes a long time to get anywhere, to level up, to earn gold (or even silver). Grouping for quests will result in less XP for everyone. Certain specs simply don't work (or they do if you're a masochist).

    People like different things.

Lots of people will try it. Some will stay others wont.

Those things you list as negatives to others are positives. Personally I've been waiting for this for ages. A MMO with real progression again.

It has already lasted far longer than a couple of weeks.

Don't get me wrong. I'll be there with my +4 STR +4 STAM LEATHER BELT.

It's your average gamer, these days who want instant fulfillment that'll be on the forums instantly crying about those and many other things.

    NICE!

eh I can't decide if subbing is worth a small chance of getting into the beta.

yep, whats the point if everything is just 'given', no sense of accomplishment or prestige when you see someone who's 'done it'

wow was great in that it wasn't a full time job game, you could play a couple of evenings or be a weekend player and still be okay.

I'm not subbed, i will however sub to reserve my character names on the 13th

Will you need a sub to download the beta client and play? I thought Blizz had said you will definitely need a sub (or active game time) to be selected for classic beta, I guess not.

Oh also, when they announce servers, we should all plan to play on the same one :)
