I love the concept, but like he said, its just not Left 4 Dead.
I absolutely loved Left 4 Dead, still do. Just wish a new one would come out already.

The gunplay looks average and overall it looks like it's less appealing than L4D to me.

Games shouldn't need updates from release to be decent.

    welcome to 2019

though admittedly these guys probably didn't have huge pressure from publishers unlike EA.

I purchased this game and its honestly garbage. Feels clunky, lack of story line and its just not fun.

I wouldnt pay $10 for it.

I didn't pay for the game, played for 20 minutes and deleted shortly after. Just wasn't a fan of how it played and glad I tried before I bought it.

surely shooting an explosive at a swarm of zombies is somewhat satisfying?

Surprisingly good fun, with a decent amount of replay value. The Undead Sea expansion is a nice bonus.

My only real gripe is that you can't select classes for your bots; they're all stuck on Gunslinger by default. Flipping that switch would be a real game changer.

    Anyone still playing this?

I picked it up in the recent Epic sales (for US $5) and am getting kinda sick of matchmaking with randoms and would like to get a regular crew going.

Now free on EGS and with all the updates looks good now. Has crossplay now. Getting great praise from the community playing it. Apparently they listen.

Got this for free from EGS. I admit, it's pretty good. Got enough hooks in it to keep me playing, that's for sure. 5 pretty diverse character classes, with levelling, perks and builds, an absolute smorgasbord of weapons to level up, randomised item spawns throughout the missions, a stealth mechanic, a horde mode, 4 player co-op, pvp, and new episodes (missions) being added all the time. There's around 14-15 missions at the moment, with another episode of 3-4 missions to be released soon.

Gun audio is great, some of the weapons sound fucking excellent. Notable examples are the sniper rifle and the battle rifle.

I'd suggest checking if it's still free on EGS, if so it's a definite grab.

EGS display name is Grim Draken if you want someone to play with.
