It's $11/month on Xbox, you'd assume it would be a similar price right?

so this is how they are finally going to get people to use the Microsoft Store?

i'm guessing closer to Origin Access basic?

at least THIS move is pro-consumer. Credit where it's due this is great news.

Pricing and line up announced, complete trash. They also have the balls to announce a premium version that includes multilayer.

I had two years of game pass and one year of gold that consolidated into three years of Ultimate so the price is something for me to worry about in June 2022 ;)

There is an aussie option, go to the Australian page here and have your account set to Australia

    I just did the same.
If you upgrade to the Ultimate pass for $1 they will rollover your current Xbox live membership. So you can essentially get up to 36 months of Ultimate pass for the same price of just having a Gold membership anyway.

$1 for the first month and $5/month thereafter for Metro Exodus? Sign me up!

At least it's not the Epic Store, but that's for another thread.

For anyone that is using this, is anyone else having huge issues trying to launch games? It used to be intermittent but the newest update has completely broken it.

That model would certainly work for people who like to play many games and don't mind subscribing for the right to do so. Casual gamers though, such as myself, may not play any games in a month at all, so a subscription is wasted.

Personally I prefer to buy a game outright, and never have to pay to use it again. Consequently I don't own many games, but they are games I actually want to have, and I can play them anytime at no further cost.
The only reasonably modern games I own are Witcher 3, which is too difficult for my old brain and hands to play well, and Rocket League, which I play quite a bit, when I am bored and have nothing better to do. I even splashed out on an XBox One S wireless controller for Rocket League, which I also plan on using for Sega games when I get around to buying them.

I would be more interested in Sega games than any of the other stuff, but I wouldn't be willing to pay a subscription, I'd want to just buy them outright.

I signed up when the public beta launched. $1 for a bunch of good games is hard to say no to. $5/mo ongoing is still a great deal even if you are technically just renting the games. If i find a game I really like and wish to mod it then can pick it up elsewhere when the price drops. If they jack the subscription price up after a few months I'll be outta there.

For $1 it's ridiculous. Even $5 is good value. I've tried out a 4 or 5 games that would have cost about $20 each that I'm kind of glad I didn't spend full price on. Playing Vampyr ATM and loving it.

I've used the other version of this (I hgonestly thought it was this but I've been doing it for quite a while?) the games weren't all PC but a good deal were. And I thought they were worth it!

$5 a month to play quite a large collection of games is pretty great...
