Surely someone else since iiNet have already done that a while ago. :) Curious who though, I'd like to see more ISPs offering free steam and XBL data.

Primus, they've been really trying to expand their free content lately which has been good.

Their plans look pretty good too, midnight to noon offpeak would certainly be a pleasant change from TPG 4-9am. Don't suppose they get free Steam content?

What I'd really like to see is something like PS3's Vidzone incorporated. Was at a mates house on Sat night and he showed me, I was blown away, so much content and so good for parties!

Microsoft are tight, they'll charge people for it :( unless they see the service taking off on the PS3, then they might consider something on the Xbox 360.

MS don't have the advantage of already owning that music, so they would definitely charge for it. Maybe instead you'd have better luck wishing for ISPs to offer PSN content quota free.

But what microsoft are good for are partnering with out companies and creating strong relationships. Microsoft's real goal for the xbox 360 is to make it a major internet device for the home.

Not going to happen until they bundle a browser on to it.

Would be nice if MediaCenter/Extender was seriously improved too.

Even if you don't get into the first round, they do multiple rounds and then eventually accept everyone that signed up..well at least what they did last year.

:( :( I was lucky enough to see it in the morning and signed up..after it went up on engadget i wouldn't be surprised to see the traffic jump.

If this takes off as well as micro$oft hope, wouldn't that discourage ISP's from offering free bandwidth, and even make iinet reconsider?
Full 1080p downloads have got to be a decent size (even with compression I'd imagine around the 4gb mark?) and if just on average a household grabs a movie a week, that'd be 20-25gb of data the ISP would be copping on the chin? That's a lot larger chunk of data compared to the usual demo here and there and online gaming.

That said, I could be well of on my thinking, I'm not sure if the isp's offering free 'Live network' access have an arrangement with Microsoft so that offering free data doesn't effect their bottom line or network quality?
