thing i dont like about game subscriptions, is that as a husband who spends time with his wife and a father of 2 young kids, my gaming time is not that much. so if i'm paying a subscription for 4-6hours of gaming per month then it isnt worth it for me. it takes me months to get through one game lol.

all you can eat is great, unless you just want a steak and chips yet are forced to subscribe to something you will barely use (ala the buffet).

the thing is they literally don't care because it's a goldrush, and if you get left behind they won't care.

How does "Holiday 2020" translate to actual time? Is that the American Summer holiday? So June/July?

Did no-one at Microsoft realise this was going to be a naming disaster like the Xbox One (Xbone).

Not to mention it's not the Xbox Series X and Xbox One X, those poor retailers having to tell parents that come in the difference.

"Holiday" = Christmas (because you can't say "Christmas" for reasons).

So Christmas 2020 (a year out).

Don't mind the cube shape, imagine it would have a similar cooling concept to the apple trash can looking pro

the sexbox takes design cues from sub woofers.
I like it, but is that thing even going to fit in an entertainment unit?
Even on its side it looks bigger than a receiver...

Or because its the time period between Thanksgiving and Christmas? (Not to mention other ones such as NYE, Hannukah, etc)

It's more the "don't offend anyone by branding it to a particular religion" thing.

But look, I don't want to devolve yet another thread about video games into some sort of political discussion. US based marketing now calls the Christmas period "the holiday period", or just "Holiday" for short. So any marketing with "Holiday 2020" means around December 2020 ready for sale at Christmas, as that's peak "ignore common sense and put all the things on credit card" season.

Thanksgiving, commercially speaking, rarely sees new stuff released. That's more Black Friday / Cyber Monday and marking old stuff down to clear out before Christmas (err... I mean "Holiday").

Again, typically between Black Friday / Cyber Monday and Christmas.

Just in time for Nan to buy one for Little Johnny's Christmas present.
