So I already have a 2016 box and can see ZERO reasons making it worth buying the S. Am I missing something? I don;t think so.

Anyone having issues with their Mibox lately? Just recently when waking mine up from sleep it's really slow and laggy like something is pegging the cpu. If I reboot it it goes back to normal. I suspect the Youtube app might have been updated recently, anyone know? Youtube is the main app I use which is why I suspect it. Related but is there a card view or multi-task like on an android phone where you can close apps?

Is there a way to block the Mi Box from doing system/all updates? Everything is working beautifully on both of our boxes and they have no internet access so they can't do updates. I'd like to give them access though so that Kodi can do library updates but as soon as I do the OS updates itself without asking and then nothing works any more, meaning I have to do a factory reset and put everything back to how it was.

Not really anything new. I have that remote wakeup thing but other than that once it's in it's fine.

I did a factory reset on my Mibox but am still having the issue I mentioned above, it's just a bit of an annoyance having to reboot it every time I use it.

Pretty happy with my Mi Box... but VLC isn't remembering my SMB password for some reason.
    Any tips??

There's an update if you are on the beta testers list that is supposed to fix the not waking up issue. Hope it gets rolled out to everyone soon if it is a fix.
Mine wakes 80% of the time from mashing all the buttons on the remote for 10 seconds, power button alone generally does nothing.
The rest of the time I have to unplug the power and let it re boot where it usually announces it has lost the remote bluetooth pairing.

I fired up the little box yesterday purely to use it as a chromecast for Kayo. An update rolled in, so I installed it and it seems that everything is a bit smoother now. The TV version of Kayo was no problem at all and a quick look at Netflix looked better than before. Maybe they've ironed out some problems after all.
