And how good the speaker is. That was a problem with the Sharp models - very soft volume, but they used a different system.

Yeah true - do you know what the difference is between this one and the sharp one?

Apparently the Sharp phone vibrated the screen. Xiaomi phone vibrates the phone frame. Maybe the frame can take a larger amplitude of vibration than Sharp's screen could and so be louder. Loud enough that others can hear perhaps?

On a related matter, I have never used a phone of such size, but digging one out from the depths of ones pockets would seem problematic, although maybe its so large that it will always stick out of ones pockets. Sitting down would be an issue, you would always have to look for space on the table to put it. For folks wearing suits to work, I could see it as a jacket phone.

Maybe a headset makes everything better for phones of this size. Sincerely hope that Xiaomi (or someone else) makes something like this in a 4.5" format. Everyone other phone I have looked at today looks decidedly elderly :)

Agree, the marketing is also up there with the best.

Most phab users I have seen around that actually take calls always use headsets (bluetooth or wired). One of the primary reasons they choose phab is because they use the phone for emails/data whilst taking the call.

They're also guaranteed to have battery banks.

    Well it's a winner with me.....anything near bezel-less is something I love.

And always wondered why phones need a chin anyways, surely these days we can do full screen phones without even the lower and upper underutilised areas.....?

Id be keen on one, however I dont know about the finger sensor on the back.

Anyone used one on a phone in that position can comment on use?

I might wait to see if cyanogen gets ported on here though.

I have one there on my redmi note 3. I coded it to my index and middle finger on both hands and it works every time from any position I hold it in.

It's great but is sensitive to dirt and especially water. Won't work if you just gave your hands a quick wipe on the towel after washing.

I wonder how it goes with holding the phone and your palms/fingers touching the screen form the sides.

My S6 Edge someones freaks out when the palm of my hand touches the screen by accident when im holding it.

MKBHD covered it in his video that there is edge press detection and it was able to filter that out.

Yeah that's pretty much the only thing that stopped me from buying this. There's no reason to have a crappy camera on a flagship-priced phone.

    Yep.

Also, i dont think i could handle the downgrade to anything non OLED.

Samsung's AMOLED screens are such beautiful things :weirdo:

The article covers this, you just switch the phone orientation around, so the camera is at the top for the duration of the call. The UI will follow the orientation.
