In the bottom, the lower cage is cut out, so i cut a hole in the bottom and put it there.

    Ahh ok, so facing down?
I'm putting a 480 at the top of mine, and one hanging off of the back, thought about a 240 down the bottom, but that requires MAJOR cutting out, and I'd rather not do that, instead, my pump is going down there ;)

I reckon the 1x480 would be suffcient enough to cool a cpu and sli.

The air off a rad is not hot, or barely warm for that matter, i have both my rigs with internal rads, i just put my hand over the outflow from the rad and it feels rather cool still. :) if you were running a rad too small for the loop contents then yeah it would blow hot air for sure but if you run the right size rads for your rigs they don't blow hot or warm air at all, hope that made sense.

You recon tri-sli is worth it? i understand why you want the second rad if thats what your doing though. It's a shame you gotta mount one external though as it would have been neat as hell if you'd managed to keep it all inside.

I reckon dump a RX240 on the bottom panel and then dump the pump on the platform above it to the right of your vidcards, would look waaaaaaaaay better ;) plus your old man is a fuckign weapon with his angle grinder so he'll knock that out in 2 beers and 10 minutes.

Haha, I could fit the 480 inside like how they do with the TJ07, but that would require LOOOTS of effort, tho i could do that in the future, as the way i am mounting the rad now, requires 0 modding.

And i dunno if TRI-SLI is worth it, but it adds to the E-peen

I like the black tubing

Did you see much of a difference with the lapped CPU? Because mines unlocked i dont get a proper reading at idle (940mhz @ 0.800v) it reads 23degrees.. Under load i havent seen it go over 35

No not really, it runs cooler specially because it's overclocked and all but the main reason i lapped it was it had a Xigmatec cooler on it and the aluminium heatpipe holder on the base damaged the AMD heat spreader.

It took me ages to lap it but the damage to the heatspreader is gone and it's now flatter than it was too, i doubt perfectly flat since thats impossible to do by hand, if you using a EK block like me then lapping for a lower temp is pointless as the blocks base is "bowed" anyway.

@VIP3R, those temps you are reporting are wrong anyway, AMD temp probe reads about 15c under so add 15c ontop and you'll be close to right however your temps will still be very reasonable at a load of 50c anyway.

Posting pic of my "Hades" build.

It's currently pulled down and in the progress of doing a new loop with a 280 rad up top and including 2 6950's in the loop.

May take a while put will post pics as soon as I get round to it i.e. save for it. :D

Thanks to all the previous posters for ideas on cooling.
