    I've had my coolermaster sentinel advance for since it was released, it cost $6x dollars and was and still is the best mouse i have ever used. Previously i had used some of razers offerings, my friends logitech's and a few other random gaming mice.

    Unfortunately, for the past year this mouse has been in its dying days, it started with the middle click not working on all axis of the scroll wheel, which if you can imagine can be really annoying when trying to use it in a FPS.

    Then the dreaded "teleport cursor to left hand side of monitor and pin it there randomly" syndrome sprung up. However, this is random and not always occurring.

    Lastly, and for-who'knows how long, the LED in the middle is brighter on various segments of the DPI setting than on others. For instance part of a 2 may be brighter than another part, depending on the DPI setting.

    Also i can see where my fingers have worn into the poor mouse, rendering its black paint job less transparent against its black chassis.

    //

    This mouse was awesome because of its control, memory, useful macro's, rate of fire and bling (tbh i don't care about the bling, but when i use to go to lans i would tell everyone to check out my mouse's headlights.

    //

    Does anyone think there is a mouse better than this? I'm in a buying mood, and im interested in knowing what everyone else thinks of their mouse. I'll probably stay clear of logitech, i just find their mice retarded, they are like square bricks... makes no sense.

    Are there any other interesting brands out? I haven't really gamed in a long time, but am gonna kick it up a little with MW3 and BF3 and skyrim.

    Logitech MX500. Working perfectly (after eight years or so) apart from the occasional hair in the sensor. Some paint is wearing off, but that doesn't affect the functionality.

    Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0, need I say more?

    I have gown through a sleuth of mouses, DeathAdder, Diamondback, G5, G7, MX500 have been my previous, and this is no worse (or in the case of the logitech models, better) than the rest.
    All the logitech products mention sensors are pathetic/slow.
    the g5 has bad weight balance (the g7 is better)
    the diamondback isnt as comfortable
    the deathadder failed from bad microswitches like so many other peoples did.

    Not thrilled with battery life, some tracking issues on mousepads.

    Should have waited longer and upgraded my G7 to a G700.

    Logitech G9x. Best so far. I got it second hand about 6 months back. Going strong and a great mouse.

    I really loved my X5 but the middle wheel stopped working as a button and I soon realised that it was way too light to really enjoy. The G9x is next best.

    i had (have, still own it) my G5 with the whole mouse stripped. no leds no internal tray holder (there is just a gaping hole in the bottom), only the few screws required to hold it together remain. it is still unbalanced (way too rear heavy)

    I've gone through so many mice..

    I think my blue G5 is the best, semi retired it for a 3500dpi deathadder but it feels to light and I strip the G5 empty!

    I run my G500 with the heavy weights. 800DPI and raw input on games that support it :)

    It's holding up great and I don't think I'll be getting a new mouse for a long while. Though I may sleeve the cable as it is fraying.

    G5 here. Not really happy with it. Upgraded from a Microsoft X5.

    Things I don't like:
    • Scroll wheel is too flimsy, not enough resistance
    • High pitched squeel that comes from it 24/7

    Love it because it fits my hand (big hands)

    Only issue I have had is the dreaded doubke click issue that a lot of them get.

    Pulled it apart, and used sone contact cleaner. ALL FIXED! :)

    +1 for the MX518, I've had mine for 3 years now and for my uses (mostly browsing with occasional gaming) it is perfect.

    I've got big hands and was getting some serious cramping and pain in my wrist... this baby has definitely improved things! I could probably go a little bit bigger, but this is the best I've tried so far.
