Lidl are coming here, already have several sites earmarked as far as I remember. Will be interesting to see how the two majors fight both Lidl and Aldi

Edit: It's Lidl's parent company that are coming, whether they use the name Kaufland or Lidl they aren't saying but it's claimed either is a threat to both Coles and Woolies, even Aldi, where as IGA's will just find themselves further out of the competition because of Metcash.

Aldi for the most part have a different demographic to Coles/Woolies, realistically they'll only trouble Aldi.

Even if that was true Coles and Woolies are taking the threat of competition seriously.

if there was an aldi convenient to me, i would never

ever ever ever ever ever ever ever

    go to coles ever again

so bring on lidl, as a local lidl would also trump coles or woolies.

probably not trump an aldi though.

too bad we don't get aldi nord though :(

I'd go to Coles for the plastic straws and toys :)
I find I can't shop at only one, I guess that's part of having all three relatively convenient. There are things I buy at Coles that I could get at Aldi but Coles is the last place we go so it's more convenient to get stuff like milk and ice creams etc there.

Obviously taking you seriously is a joke. Coles and Woolies are ranked 17th and 18th in the world Kaufland is ranked number one if Coles and Woolies aren't taking the threat of Kaufalnd moving here serious they deserve to be sent out of business.

Not according to what I was reading recently, they'd invested too much to turn back. But I don't keep up with news on a daily basis.

    Ah, the small one :)

I found with my slightly smaller printer that everything other than trinkets were too big and now i have the 8 inch by 8 inch by 10 inch build space.

haven't used it in over a year :O , more like 18 months now

Greater competition, can only be a win for shoppers right.

If it's still on the fear is that because Kaufland and Aldi are so big they will remove local competition and as such will easily move to selling only imported products and take all profits off shore, then increase prices as they take more of the market share. Whether that's true who knows but I suppose it's something business experts are paid to consider.

Re the golf umbrellas currently on special: the plain dark blue ones are double canopy. No mention of this in the catalogue. All other colours are single canopy.

Just make sure they are proper golf umbrellas which are longer than your ordinary ones.
