Can confirm any of the 1lt Aldi Ice Cream (Cookies & Cream, White Choc Rhapsody etc) are much better than Coles, Woolies, Sara Lee.

I used to make the stuff!

PS. Do not go for anything in a 2lt or 4lt tub...

one is 7 bucks the other is 4 (i think)
one is aldi the other is woolies.
both identical. same taste. same texture. same plastic tub. same foil seal. same yum factor.
different print on the tub ...

its amusing to me that only one has the aussie flag on it :)

The little fruit yoghurts they sell at aldi are the same as ones at coles "Tamar Valley" (I think) but they are just cheaper at Aldi.

well, how I know that they have the same ones at coles was because I wasn't going to Aldi, I stopped in at coles and I wanted some.... :D I'm not that much of a sweets type, but I'll make an exception for those, they are yummy. They are sweet, but not sugary over-sweet like other brands/types of yoghurt.

I miss those - the only other one i used to get was the chobani lemon one - add some sweet chilli sauce, oil and a few other bibs and bobs, it made for a great dip/dressing base.

Sadly my sugar days are behind me, so have to rely on the natural sweetness of greek yogurt and add some blueberries/blackberries/strawberries etc, whenever my sweet tooth demands some action

Well you'll be glad to know that the single tubs of greek style yogurt with the fruit on the bottom at aldi are freaking awesome. I can't stand greek yogurt however once you mix the fruit from the bottom through they're edible then.

When I'm not managing blood sugar levels, nothing beats greek yogurt* with chilled white grapes - the combo of tart creaminess with explosive bursts of acidic freshness is lovely on hot days.

*choice magazine rates Coles low-fat Greek Style Yogurt #1 - which is ok but i prefer the flavour of Farmers Union full fat

We buy and like Woolworths 'Village Natural Pot Set' 2KG - add your seasonal fruit to that. Low-fat has been shown to be a 'gimmick' and a lot less healthy by nutritional scientists/professors and if that Greek yogurt is somehow sweet 'with no added sugar' again you have artificial supplements (at best this will be a source of fructose) that could be bad for you, use your own seasonal fruit to add the fructose and fiber to your breaky!

That's the thing, you have to have something in it. Greek yogurt is disgusting on its own.

Get a greek yogurt and not a lolly yogurt.

I love greek yoghurt on its own, you have to get a decent full fat version though, for example the "Coles Finest" Greek Yoghurt.

I've tried the farmers union one last year. Bleh. I dunno how people do it.

Those "organic" yellow corn chips at aldi are pretty good. Nice basic ingredients. I can't stand doritos, freaking disgusting too. I don't dip corn chips, just eat them.

Just got the blatant chinese copy cutlery in black Lou Laguiole Cutlery 24pc Set. Parents have the real deal and it's a pretty damn good 99% copy with the same nice wooden box packaging. Really good especially compared to the Kmart cutlery i was going to get
