A new thread every week where you can post a shot for the week.

It may be your favourite for any number of reasons, ie technically good, a favorite model, or even just because it's different to what you normally shoot.

Add the story that goes with the picture if you like but it's not necessary. It's just an excuse to post a picture that you'd like to share.

Feel free to ask for a critique if you like and comment on other shots if you wish.

Last week's "Your Photo of the Week" thread is here.

Shot an engagement shoot of a fellow OCAU'er whilst in London earlier this year, here is one of the photos I really liked from the shoot. We met up and wandered the streets, took a detour through the Tate Modern and had some fun with the light in the big hall.

Cliche waterfall pic but I was actually there and took it on our honeymoon just now so worth posting. Was raining and 10'c. Not sure what the waterfall is but it was a spur of the moment detour of SH5. Had to drag the exposure waaaay back in LR because at min aperture, iso 100 and 0.4s it was overexposing heaps. No ND in my kit. Just a rough 4min edit in LR when we got to our motel. It's not a great pic but I kind like it :)

I'm not sure what to do with the top part of the image... It's a bit grey as it was in the cloud/fog but it just looks washed out without that context.

Yeah, that bottom half is really nice. Some great shapes in the falls, but was going to say something about the top bit. Maybe play with the crop a bit and just remove as much as you can while maintaining balance with the rest of it. Maybe even take a bit off the sides to keep the ratio similar. Might not hurt to crop off some of that close foliage on the right anyway.

I think it would make a great B&W image if you spent the time working on the different aspects and cropping in a bit tighter.

I have a couple of photos of Snug Falls but they probably shouldn't be be put in this thread. ;)

Meanwhile, a local group of togs, models, and HMUA have semi-regular meets, and this was a photo from last night. (SOOC, lit by spotlight)

Liked the shallow depth of field and bokeh of this one.
