A new thread every week where you can post a shot for the week.

It may be your favourite for any number of reasons, ie technically good, a favorite model, or even just because it's different to what you normally shoot.

Add the story that goes with the picture if you like but it's not necessary. It's just an excuse to post a picture that you'd like to share.

Feel free to ask for a critique if you like and comment on other shots if you wish.

Last week's "Your Photo of the Week" thread is here.

Was searching for some new places to shoot birds and read about the Coombabah lakelands conservation area which is just north of the Gold Coast. What a gem this place is, basically wild roos, Koalas and a lot of bird life. Doesn't seem like a great birding spot though due to the trees all being so tall but got a nice roo portrait:

Not so happy with the processing, but it'll have to do for now!

That's all good. Everyone has their own take on it :) This is a tighter frame in the room, but an important part of their wedding. In my head when I shot it the pathways on either side converge in the middle, and the drop of the lights bring your eyes down and into the middle of the frame. Room didnt really suit a backlight either as I really wanted to capture the details in the wood/roof etc. There are plenty of others in the day where they are more front and center.. but got to include the chosen space also :)

    It was also 13atman's wedding!

IMG-20180616-WA0002.jpg Unedited and a low quality version, but I love this shot. Out near the radio telescope at Parkes
