A new thread every week where you can post a shot for the week.

It may be your favourite for any number of reasons, ie technically good, a favorite model, or even just because it's different to what you normally shoot.

Add the story that goes with the picture if you like but it's not necessary. It's just an excuse to post a picture that you'd like to share.

Feel free to ask for a critique if you like and comment on other shots if you wish.

Alessiman, eat your heart out!

Only managed to get a couple shots of him sitting like this; this being the best result. No eye contact, but atleast he was willing to sit still for 20 seconds on his trike...

Taken yesterday at Bondi. There was a fair bit of smoke haze around from recent burning off in the Blue Mountains so North Bondi looks a little low on contrast however the smoke has added to the general atmosphere.

I may reprocess this at a later date to darken the water a bit but I quite like the mistiness of the sea with it a little washed out.

Nikon D90 and Nikkor 10-24mm zoom.

First shoot at a gig a few weeks back. First time shooting with such sporadic and low lighting conditions. Thought the shot brilliantly expressed at how madly he was shredding...shredding till the sun exploded if you could say :p

First Star Pics by [ahriman], on Flickr
Got the camera on Monday and wanted to try and get a star trails shot. Didn't count on the clouds, though :(. Used my mobile phone to illuminate the orange tree for about 10 seconds in this shot.

    Jumping Spider

Found running around the kitchen last night... given the weather not sure will be able to capture anything outside this week :(

Tiny little bugger (click above to the page where first shot includes a ruler for scale!) and hard to snap. Cudos to the other posters of these critters on OCAU:

If I find him (her?) again will try and get him to stand on something more colourful I think. And feed him a fly? ;)
