Not exactly another purchase, but one step closer to the recent purchases getting here! (Taken to shipping place today to be loaded in to a container) 8ED540C3-D7AC-4A1E-90E2-61C5C619ACC5.jpeg

Honestly I don’t know... lol. It become easier to keep finding and buying the more I got involved “in the scene”, and a lot more “well why not” purchases happened.

I’ll likely do a form of room/garage arcade and just hang on to them for a long time, and share with friends and family

I’ve got most of the 90s stuff I cared about now covered, just need to look at the candy stuff and a few other things short/mid term.

    • NBA Jam (Going to run vanilla and TE on a switcher)
    • 2 x Killer Instinct 1 (Will likely sell one)
    • Killer Instinct 2
    • Neo Geo “big red” 4 slot
    • 3 x Hydro Thunder sit down (More like 2 2/3 as the PC and boards is missing on one...will either use the 2/3 to fix any issues on first 2, or if all good will track down the missing bits and restore it)
    • Virtua Fighter 1
    • Virtua Fighter 2
    • Mortal Kombat 3 (Original Non-Ultimate cabinet, will run MK3 and UMK3 on a switcher)

Already got a MK1, and have things lined up to buy MK2 and MK4 from a guy locally who already imported them.

I’ve got basically all the other 90s fighters boards already (Eg, tekken, soul, capcom...etc) but still need to track down the following cabinets from the USA:
    • CarnEvil
    • Capcom “Gen 2” qsound big blue (will run darksoft CPS1,2,3 on a switcher)
    • Konami 4 player (to run TMNTs, Simpsons, Xmen...etc)
Long way to go still, but after 20 odd years of wanting this stuff finally decided it was time as things are only getting hard to find and costing a lot more!

I've been slowly offloading my vintage Mac collection due to lack of interest and rising values, but these things just seem to follow me home. I was told none of them are working so will be interesting to see what really does need r&r.

I'm eyeing it off - this Easter and holidays marks the first proper break I've had since early 2020. Good news is, its restored and working well.

Oh yeah - they were never in question :) I'll post up a worklog/pics thread soon. The original HD has been put aside with a CF card installed.

Got donated to me a PSP-1002 in very good condition, running OFW 3.40. Can anyone give me a reason to preserve it at OFW 3.40?

I spent a large amount of my youth looking at the daily news in the PSP modding scene, unfortunately the PSP I got the first Christmas it was out as since had issues and won't be flashed and only runs some dodgy memory card based firmware. Admittedly this one I have now I don't have a practical use for right now, using the PC is just more convenient, but just dicking around on it... holds up as a great handheld today. Good size, buttons etc. the DS was for a different market arguably but it's got nothing on the PSP.

I have briefly tried signing homebrew so it runs on OFW so I can have it both ways (Really only interested in running emulators), but the compatibility seems quite limited.

My Pro Audio Spectrum from the little OCAU purchase party has arrived. I missed the initial batch, but then BuuBox gave me a heads up that a final card had gone up

Packaging is a bit light on, but it's in one piece, and nice and clean.

One of the caps has a little ding, and what looks like a resulting electrolyte leak. Just a bit of mess around the top, and not near the board. There is a tiny pinprick in the shipping satchel, so there's a chance it happened during shipping but I can't be sure. Simple enough fix - just have to practice recapping on some junk gear first.
