Purchased red dead redemption GOTY edition for the Xbox 360 for $15 from local retro store.

Had it for PS3, but figured I could have a better experience with it on my $30 xbox one :)

Visited Eddie's Retro on my day off, picked up a few things for my black label GTA collection. Chinatown wars is missing manual and I don't own a PSP anymore but it was cheap so I thought I'd add it to the collection.
Also couldn't resist the Hori Fighting Stick 3 - It still had the plastic film on the top and is almost brand new.

GTA London on PS1 is proving to be a bit elusive, not pictured are xbox 360 copies of GTA IV Episodes from Liberty City Complete Edition and GTA V. I might go for a full playstation set at some point, not sure. I have the OG Xbox trilogy pack complete as well.

The last time I went to eddies I had a moment of panic as all i was greeted with was an empty shop! Lucky he'd only just moved a few shops away.

yeah they dragged all their faded games up from the gold coast, even made the local news for scalping PS5's.

wait, my bad that was CEX with the scalping

Gotta make money somehow and they sure as hell won't be doing it with sun damaged stock.

Its just insane that they let the sun damage get to that stage in the first place.

Floor to ceiling glass windows and really high ceilings too.

It's no less a game store than a solarium.

Found it in a box with a couple of snes advantage sticks and the namco 6 button (black and yellow) for PS1.
Seems like they haven't sorted and arranged everything as well as the old store yet but it is kind of fun rummaging through boxes.

Yep, also followed the scene daily when it was active. Mysterious hackers defeating big money security. Was fun to follow!

Absolutely no reason to keep the old 3.4. Provides no benefits compared to latest and greatest.

A couple of months ago I opted not to snap up this Roland MPU-IPC-T breakout box for $15. Rare and ridiculously cheap, yes. Remotely useful without the matching ISA card that you will never find? No.

    upload_2021-4-14_18-14-23.png

Flash forward to last week when I scored a Roland MPU-IPC card for $50. ffs

    upload_2021-4-14_18-15-18.png

What's the lesson here? Snap up every bargain you see, just in case? I don't feel like that's a healthy lesson.

Anyway, a bit of deep ebay searching later (where deep search = find things that don't ship to Australia, and ask if they'll ship to Australia) and I appear to have the matching MPU-IPC breakout on the way from Canada.

    upload_2021-4-14_18-19-53.png

It wasn't $15, but all going well I will have myself an original MPU-401 setup for about a quarter of current market prices. This is one of the earliest iterations of the MPU-401, and I've read that it behaves best on the real old stuff (up to 286). Hopefully it goes ok on the 386 de-turboed to 20mhz. I think the appropriate thing to do will be remove the Yamaha SB Pro clone while it's open, and put the SB 2.0 in its place.
