unfortunately not that simple with this motherboard, it would require voltage modifications to take K6 III, discussed here :

A now defunct disty I used to work for was at the time the main distributor of Zalman, we used to sell box loads of just about every cooler in their range on a daily basis to places like Umart, MSY, Gamedude etc. Quite often as soon as a shipment came in most of it went out the door.

I can still picture in my head all the stock we had on the shelves as I used to often take a gander at what was there and check out anything new. If you had something that needed cooling I'm pretty sure Zalman had something to cool it with!

These were going for peanuts few years ago but like most things retro, eBay asking prices have gone from being expensive to ridiculous - Prime example: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/276532549243

Don't need it but had a pretty good offer so got this yesterday.

    How's the NEC sound?

Thankfully there are new alternatives for reasonable prices, like the DreamBlaster X16GS. :)

Edit: As in compared to the €1490 for the eBay Yamaha DB50XG. That is ridiculous! :wired:

    Well I
Well call me a purist. For the real thing I certainly didn't even pay the price of the DreamBlaster X16GS so very happy.
