    1942.

Sure there are tons of older games that have fond memories but out those that i actually play now 28 years later 1942 wins hands down.

Its one of the very rare gems for me that comes down to pure hand eye cordination and skill. every second day or so i find myself walking past my Mame machine and thinking "bugger it, ill try to crack my high score again"

no other game has ever done that for me.

Street Fighter 2 does the same thing to me! I've 100's of games and I always end up back at Street Fighter 2... Another that seems to grab a fair chunk of my time is Art of Fighting the rest in the series got wrecked by stupid game play.

Okay, I know some of them are >1994, but here are my favorites:

    1. Day of the Tentacle ( PC )
    2. Indiana Jones & fate of Atlantis ( PC )
    3. Monkey Island 2 ( PC )
    4. UFO: Enemy Unknown ( PC )
    5. Warcraft 2 ( PC )
    6. Populous ( Sega Master System )
    7. Grim Fandango ( PC )
    8. Leisure Suit Larry 6 ( PC )
    9. C&C: Red Alert ( PC )
    10. Outlaws ( PC )

My first "gameconsole" was this baby.
In 1989 I got a Sega Master System, and i 1995 I bought my first PC ( 486DX2 ). The first game I played on it was a real classic: Tetris!
Soon to be followed by another gem ( already almost retro by that time): Monkey Island 1. From that moment on, the graphic adventure was mu nr.1 genre.

Like most here the random order must suffice, as placing these in any particular order for me goes straight into the too hard basket.

    Galaga
    Ghouls n Ghosts
    Dungeon Keeper
    Run n Gun 2
    Hyper Sports
    R-Type
    Gun Smoke
    Super Mario Bros 3
