I ordered mine basically when they put the pre order up and i have just received the same email from PCCG, kinda sucks as I have my whole Z390 / 2080Ti rig built & waiting for CPU now...guess ill have to put the 8700k in it for a few weeks...disappointed to say the least.

I believe with the inquiries I have made that there will be no 9900Ks at launch in Australia. I also contacted Intel to make them aware of the situation.

Hoping the wait is not too long. I was told by Scorptec I'm 2nd or 3rd in line for one a 9900k from them.

This delay is making me consider making this a completely fresh build with a new case, psu & aio. Are there any cases apart from the R6 with the front panel taken off that have a front intake/mesh and USB-C? What's another $700 between friends. :D

Intel really is shooting themselves in the foot these days.

I think this will be my last Intel upgrade for a while.

My last AMD build was an Athlon XP-M 2800+ system about 15 years ago.

Be curious to see how many 9900k's are available worldwide at launch. Shows how stretch Intel are with production.

About as stretched as they were with 8700k, By what I have heard so far. I just hope I get mine before Xmas and my birthday the next day or they will have ruined my whole year.

Why is it with every new release this year, prices seem to just go up and up.

What happened to the good days when new models came out with a slight premium but vastly superior performance?

For asking why is there not going to be 9900k CPUs in Australia at resellers on first business day after release day.

i believe theyre available at 550 usd. (versus an earlier stated 488) do the math. 550x1.4 plus 10% it's spot on. the 1.4X exchange rate factor is a killer at the moment.

RRP for single units is $US499 + tax though, so looks like you're doubling up on tax.
