Well they wouldn't make these videos if people didn't watch them. Just look at the number of views hardware unboxed video has.

I'm seriously thinking about the same thing in the event my GPU arrives early... but since I have to wait for that as well, no sense in rushing just yet.

Drama will intensify as retailers push back pre-order ETAs further and further while walk-ins show off the new chips they got.

As someone who is going through 2080TI pre order crisis , I recommend not to pre order these CPU's unless ur happy to wait for 1-2 months. 9900K's are more scarce than 2080Ti's

8700K 8086K is the full premium silicon. :weirdo: 9700K 9600K is just defected hot turd with HT / cores turned off.

How much will a 8700k sell for ? It can only do 5Ghz at 1.35v.

I am thinking about buying an 8086k lol.

9700K is actually interesting, according to MSI there is a good chance a 9700K will come with strong IMC but 9600K is indeed a turd as least my one is worse than my 8600K

Get a 8086K and worry less about losing silicon lottery when you buy a 8700K which may need 1.4V+ to stabilise at 5GHz all cores.

I just don't bother watching them. Thankfully most have web content duplicating the important stuff

Better power delivery with most Z390 boards than Z370, I haven't got time to OC my 9600K but according to MSI 9600K is quite bad requiring 1.31V to hit 4.7GHz all cores and I bite the bullet...

Edit: Oh yeah MSI is giving away AC Odyssey too when buying selected MSI Z390 motherboards.

Cheers for the heads up, will go a z390 then for overclocking, was expecting better looking at the turbo multi still I would be happy though with 4.7ghz it’s more then enough for my gaming needs lmfao

Yeah no avx in his tests. Which is good in a way, as a comparison to avx loads... but should of been clarified as it appears more and more things use it now.

Don't think avx even worked properly on my system (8086k) until a recent update. (either bios or windows).
Never used to affect my temps/voltages much, but suddenly decided to work and I had to set a -1 avx offset to compensate. Max voltage peaked at 1.408V @ 5.2GHz previously, but with avx suddenly working it now shoots to 1.440V.... helluva bump. (-1 Offset gets voltage back under control)

Now having the offset in place (5.2 without, 5.1 with avx) I notice just how much stuff does actually use it.
Only play a couple of games, rainbow six siege and minecraft for the main part.... both of which now drop to 5.1GHz hinting at avx usage.

Yah for sure on the z390 boards. I'll prob trade in my apex 10, for a gene 11 and keep the 8086k purely for the added wifi/bluetooth and a smaller motherboard. :)
