    Wait. While the 9900K is a great CPU and stil holds up well it's 2 years old. I would wait a bit if I were you.

    9900K is not going to work in a Mobo with 6700K dues to BIOS incompatibility issues to the best of my knowledge.

    Yeah was planning to buy a new board to go with it.

    Was close to pulling the trigger but i think ill wait to see what intel/amd come out with next, My 6700k at 4.7 is still punching.

    Personally I just jumped on the 9900K for $482 delivered from Amazon. I currently have a 9600K, but I just received a 3080 and am starting to see the CPU limit the GPU particularly with Cold War, at 1440p.

    Should tide me over until the next Intel architecture matures.

    If I were you though, I would wait. 8 threads is fine for now.
