Yeah, I want to get excited about it, but the older I get, the less I care about ports that weren't original, and weren't improved.

Things like Amiga vs MegaDrive vs SNES ports, for example, are interesting. There's not always a clear winner when you factor in ease of control. Amiga had high res/colour graphics, great sound, crappy controls (excluding mouse games). SNES had low res, high colour, great sound, great controls, sometimes slowdown. MegaDrive was high res, crap colour, hit and miss audio, hit and miss controls, rarely slowdown.

But from what I can see, Jaguar ports were never substantially improved over their native offerings. It was always an afterthought console, and regardless of the hardware, just didn't bring the game options in.

Indeed there's fuck all on the Jag that I can find. Here are a few sparse options I'd try once.

    Super Burnout

    Tempest 2000

Wolf3D port looks interesting for novelty value (better looking than the PC version)

"Zuul" is Ghostbusters. "Zool" is the "Ninja ant from the Nth dimension". (Well, he used to be, but I see these days they've called him a "gremlin" instead of an ant).

HDMO to VGA (and DVI/HDMI/audio) adapter/converter finally arrived..
Unfortunately they scraped away the model of the IC and I currently don't have much spare time to play around with it.
    Maybe this weekend?

Pezz82 has a new video up with some Jaguar footage. apparently electronAsh has sent him an early sneak peek of the core. He plays some games including Zool 2 :)
And for those that dont know, old mate Pezz had a bit of a breakdown from stress/mental health issues late last year :( and deleted his youtube account and videos.
but he's on the mend and is back in the chair doing MiSTer roundups again. you'll have to resub as the old account is toast.

Have made it so it could be 16mm Melamine and flat pack for shipping .. not too pricey $150. If I cut it from Acrylic .. maybe $300

Add Sanwa joysticks and Buttons $130
    Boxed & Shipping $40??

    6061 Aluminium .. hmm

How's the stability (is it intended to lean against a backing object) ? and is there enough wrist-rest for the button hand?

This one is a bit too low.. bumping it up 50mm, widening the deck and widening the legs.
Now theres a place to put a keyboard !

Also remaking it so the top so it drops on the base.. so you can lift it off to service the controls

Update: Also have some DE10s here.. grab them with the RAM in a bare-bones package.. tested and ready to rock and roll.

Aaand.. finally ! The 10 v6.0 IO Board PCBs have been shipped.. so expect to see some progress on a batch of these.

Gyruss just has been released.. I first played this on the C64.. and it made excellent use of the C64's audio.. Many hours on Gyruss :wired::wired:

Andrew_Wong I have a suggestion for the enclosure (if possible).. extend the fan mounting posts so that they protrude past the fan so that it's possible to fit some sort of very tight washer (or similar) to keep the fan (and potentially grille) in place.

I don't want to glue it because I've had multiple reasons to remove the fan for experimentation already.

If there are nets that are small enough to fit then that could work.. even better if it came with printed ones.. even just two would be enough if they held well..

Looks good but the only thing i'm hung up on is the buttons in the middle, what's your reasoning for the placement? Usually those are top left of each player if you want to capture the original experience. Even if not just doing the original experience it just kinda looks wrong :/

    Thanks Michal,

The original was how you suggested, but it was 3.5mm in diameter and 30mm long. With a 3D printer, it's extremely brittle and it was really easy to snap it off.
Threads are also impossible to 3D print.

Just thinking about a different option .. space is limited - will see if it works

Flain.. the buttons in the middle are for P1/P2/Start/F12 + spare. other place to put them is down the front - I think that is a better option too. Thanks!
