Retro Lets Play! – Unreal Tournament 99 (UT99) – December 2024

I still have the rig somewhere, don't know what happened to the CRTs. I haven't played UT for a loooong time. The Soltek FRN2-RL Golden Dragon never did the JIUHB justice, so it was my last real build. I'd been visiting here since the Celeron 300A @ 450 days.
Will jave to throw UT99 on a laptop and have a go, the taunts really were the best.

i thought it was unreal (tournament), but maybe not

wasn't monkey island - i never had that

i am sure it was one of the many unreal tournaments and i just located unreal tournament 3 and ut 2004 (dvd & 5 cd options) in original packaging in the filing cabinet, though i am sure there are more in the other room

working on my rig without any faffing around, other than to set the font to double size, because on a 2560x1440 screen it is close to impossible to read the menu settings

i have an asus a7n8x deluxe with 2x256 twin-x corsair 3200 low latency ram (it was bh5 i later figured)

i am clocking my xp2200+ (1800 thoroughbred B, originally 133*13.5) at 2000 (200*10), with the ram latency at 2-2-2-6, at stock voltages (1.632v cpu per asus probe, nominally 1.65); it heats at ~40c idle and 45c at full load (using zalman cooler and antec sonata with single case fan- and nexus fan controller at the lowest setting)

I still have an AXIA stepping here
iirc it ran at 1.4 without breaking a sweat and hit 1.6 with some... help
